Over the last few years since the credit crunch, banks have tightened their criteria for lending and remortgages on portfolios and buy to let investments. We have seen portfolios repossessed because borrowers have become outside their initial covenants in terms of a loan to value.

 

We are extremely able to deal with these portfolio transactions have recently completed a £9,000,000 portfolio. We were able to take over the portfolio as-is with no disturbance to your tenants and allow you to keep your rent roll up to completion. We are finding that if portfolios are repossessed the costs of the administration of the sale together with the asset management costs etc are extremely high and can result in the vendor seeing no equity from a portfolio that previously had equity within it.
